Aleksander Caban Appointed CEO of Carbon Studio

Carbon Studio's hexagonal mark at dawn over a vast plain — symbolizing a new stage of growth and the appointment of Aleksander Caban as CEO

Carbon Studio is entering a new stage of growth. Aleksander Caban, a co-founder of the studio, is taking over as President of the Management Board (CEO) — a decision made by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting. The former CEO, Błażej Szaflik, stays with the Carbon Studio team and will focus on production and the delivery of the studio’s key projects.

It is another step for a studio that has long reached well beyond making games. The change is part of the groundwork for a new growth strategy, whose main assumptions will be revealed in the coming months. Drawing on the experience gained on its gaming projects, Carbon Studio is steadily expanding into new technology areas, B2B services, and research and development. The aim is to align the management structure with these directions and create the conditions for further growth.

From the very beginning, Carbon Studio has grown by seeking out new opportunities and boldly taking on technological challenges. Today we are much more than a games studio. Games remain the foundation of our business, but alongside them we are developing new technologies, solutions for business partners, and our own research and development projects. We want to use these competencies to build further products and revenue streams. We will share the details of this direction together with the update to the company’s strategy

The new split of roles does not mean stepping away from current operations. Błażej Szaflik will continue to be responsible above all for overseeing ongoing projects and the continued growth of the production teams.

Over the past years we have together built a team with exceptional competencies and a portfolio of projects we can be proud of. The new division of responsibilities will allow each of us to focus on the areas where we can add the most value. My role will be to bring our ongoing projects to success and to further strengthen the quality of production and the skills of our development teams. I believe this is the best model for Carbon Studio to effectively pursue its ambitious growth plans

In the near term, Carbon Studio will focus on completing project Hermes, continuing work on Real Boxing: Road to Riyadh — developed in cooperation with Vivid Games — and further growing its B2B products and services.

In parallel, the studio is carrying out research and development on project MAGOS, co-financed by PARP, and is developing new product concepts by building prototypes and exploring new technological directions. Beyond its main projects, Carbon Studio is also developing prototypes of new games — one of which is already at a very advanced stage.

Carbon Studio will share the details of its new growth strategy in a separate announcement, once work on its final version is complete.
